Traffic officers are appealing for witnesses after a 33-year-old pedestrian suffered head and leg injuries following a road traffic collision on Hanworth Road, near the junction of Harlington Road East, at around 7.10am on Thursday.

LAS sent two ambulance crews, a duty officers and a doctor from the air ambulance.

LAS said paramedics and the doctor treated a man for head and leg injuries.

Police said they were called to reports of a collision with a car at around 7.10am.

The driver of a black Toyota Yaris stopped at the scene opposite The Airman pub.

A 40-year-old man was arrested and has since been bailed to return to a date in June pending further enquiries.

Chris Beauchamp, landlord who of The Airman pub, opposite where the incident took place, said: “I heard a massive crash and thought it was our cleaner emptying out the bottle bins.

"I went downstairs and saw paramedics treating somebody. A car had hit a brick wall.

"The pedestrian was in a bad way with really bad leg injuries. Police had cornered off the road. They shut our car park off and the road towards the station.

"The wall is an absolute mess and the car was pretty bad. It was quite disturbing."
