POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two men were attacked in Northwood Hills.

Hillingdon police have launched an investigation after the men were attacked by two men as they returned to their home in Joel Street at about 12.15pm yesterday (Thur).

Police believe the suspects may have been waiting for their victims.

The first victim, in his late 50s, was taken by air ambulance to a London hospital with stab wounds, where he remains in a stable condition.

The second victim, aged 34, received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The first suspect is a white man, about 30 years old, 6ft 1ins, wearing a black hooded jumper, a black balaclava, black jogging bottoms, and trainers.

The second suspect is a black man, about 30 to 35 years old, 6ft 2ins, wearing a black hooded jumper and black jogging bottoms.

Detective Sergeant Mark Adams said: "Police are investigating the motive for the attack and are actively seeking the two men involved in this incident.

"We are urgently trying to trace any witnesses who may have seen these men prior to the assault or have any information that could help our enquiries."
