A headteacher treated pupils to an extended lunch break and ice cream to say 'thank you' for an excellent Ofsted report.
Children, staff and parents from Newton Farm First and Middle School joined in the afternoon fun on Friday (18) which included games of croquet, dancing, bowling and skipping.
An ice cream van parked in the grounds of the school in Ravenswood Crescent, South Harrow, was on hand to provide every child with a 99.
Education inspectors, who visited London's most over subscribed school in June, were impressed by what they saw during the inspection and said: "Expectations are consistently high and pupils thrive on challenge. It provides a high quality education for its pupils."
The school has also just learnt that key stage two SATs results this year are exceptionally high with 100 per cent pass rates in English, Maths and Science at level four.
Rekha Bhakoo, headteacher, said: "The school is celebrating high SATs results and had an outstanding Ofsted report. We are delighted with the children's achievements.
"The staff at Newton Farm School work tremendously hard to support our children and I am thrilled with both the report and fantastic results. It is indeed a chance for us to celebrate in the big way."
There are now more than 200 families chasing 30 places, making the school the most sought after in the capital.
Mrs Bhakoo said: "The school would only be able to achieve such great results thanks to the great work from staff, parents and the children. This is a joint effort and I hope everyone keeps up the hard work."
