A hotel could be created next door to South Harrow Police Station if councillors give the go-ahead.

The accommodation would boast 40 bedrooms on the second to fifth floors, with a restaurant and 50-capacity conference room on the first floor. Reception would fill the ground floor.

Eurotraveller Hotel Group has applied to Harrow Council to change the use of Scanmoor House at 56-60 Northolt Road, from office use (B1 class) to hotel use (C1 class), and to build a two-storey rear extension and add a fifth floor.

Fifteen full-time and 10 part-time employees would work at the hotel.

An estimated 60 per cent would be corporate guests, with 30 per cent tourists and 10 per cent being local customers.

A previous application to convert the first to fourth floors

into self-contained flats and to change the ground floor into two shops remains undecided.
