I AM writing to express my disgust at this Labour government's planning laws, which have supported developers

intent on ruining Neptune Point off Pinner Road with a massive development comprising a 3,458 sq m Sainsbury's store, with six storeys, roof gardens and a car park for 75 vehicles.

It's Harrow West's prospective Conservative candidate, Dr Rachel Joyce, who is working with local residents here in Headstone South Ward to block unfriendly environmental projects like this, along with Councillor Marilyn Ashton, the Conservative chairman of planning, who cares about local residents and does her upmost to stick up for them on Harrow Council.

Unfortunately, at the end of the day she has to work in line with pathetic Labour government laws that rule the day. What a pity the Labour leader on Harrow Council, Councillor Bill Stephenson would rather back his ailing Labour Government and disgraced MP Gareth Thomas than support the Conservative council that wants to preserve Harrow as a pleasant community.

Roll on the General Election.
