A MULTI-STOREY car park is being considered at Ealing Hospital to tackle the shortage of spaces.

The idea was originally considered in 2003 but never pursued and discussions on

building a three-storey car park in the main parking area are at their very early stages.

There are currently 189 visitor and patient spaces, 14 for disabled, 271 for staff and 13 for motorbikes and scoot-

ers, which bring in about £300,000 revenue for the Ealing Hospital NHS Trust's estates and facilities department, with the majority of the sum being ploughed back into parking improvements.

A hospital spokeswoman, said: "At peak times there is still a shortage of parking on the site." The issue was due to be discussed at last night's (Thursday) health standing scrutiny panel meeting.
