Pupils waited on grandparents and sang carols for them at an afternoon tea at Feltham Hill Infant School, on Monday (15).

A group of six Year 2 children served cakes and mince pies along with a cup of tea to a room full of elderly people.

At the same time another dozen, six to seven-year-olds, sang festive songs from their song sheets while deputy headteacher Ms Collier played the piano.

Acting headteacher Angela White said as all the visitors left they said they were delighted to have been invited.

"In our school we love Christmas and it is important for children to think of others at this special time," said Ms White.
