NEIGHBOURS attended a petition meeting last Wednesday, to try to persuade the council to spend £6,500 on fixing their pothole-ridden road.

People from Bushey Close, Ickenham, presented their case to cabinet member for transportation Councillor Keith Burrows at Hillingdon Civic Centre.

The road has undergone many patch jobs in the past, but a report has stated only a full programme of resurfacing will adequately repair the road.

A petition of 75 signatures was submitted to the council, who will decide whether or not to go ahead with the works.

A separate petition is also to be heard requesting further speed calming measures at the Ickenham end of Harvil Road, near to Swakeleys Roundabout.
