A DOG LOVER is appealing for the help of residents to track down a missing puppy after raiders snatched it from her back garden.

Anita Kumari had two blue staffs stolen on November 18, but was reunited with one of them (Tyler) last week when he was found in Northolt.
The 38-year-old Hayes resident has now started a campaign in the same area to find Bruce, who remains missing.

At the time, Mrs Kumari said that she was devastated, and was determined to locate the pups and bring them home. Posters were plastered in her neighbourhood, local vets were canvassed, and the Gazette published an appeal in a bid to get the pooches back.

Describing the moment one of her beloved pets was found, she said: "Battersea Dogs' Home called me at work and told me that they had found Tyler. I had to get a colleague to take down all the details because I was in too much shock. It has been so long and to think he has just been around the corner all this time. I couldn't wait to go and see him.

"The last few months without them have have been difficult at times so I am just so pleased we have Tyler back. I wonder where he has been for these past few months – I wish he could talk."

Tyler was found in Northolt Park by a unnamed woman who took him in before driving him to the Dogs Home. He had been micro-chipped, and staff at the home were able to track Mrs Kumari and set up the emotional reunion.

She added: "The woman who found him must be a pet owner and know how awful losing a pet is, so I am very grateful to her, Battersea is a long drive away."

Tyler's return has renewed Mrs Kumari's hopes of finding Boris, who will now be seven months old. She has vowed to launch a new awareness flyer and poster campaign, concentrating on the Northolt area, in a bid to get the long-lost family member back.

"I feel silly for not getting Boris chipped but he didn't like going to the vets so I just kept putting it off. I know there is a slim chance of getting him back, but I wasn't expecting to see Tyler again and here he is so you never know. I am going to do everything I can to get him returned."

If you have any information on Boris's whereabouts, call Hillingdon Police on 0208 246 1445. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
