STEPHEN Martin of Aplin Way, Isleworth, was travelling at 68mph on the Great West Road.

His father says in the Chronicle he is going to fight the legality of this speeding charge all the way.

Mr Martin was travelling at 28mph above the speed limit, by whatever method the police chose to use.

The Great West Road, although a major road, is also a local route, crossing many side roads and used by local people.

Many people have been killed by speeding vehicles on the Great West Road.

If a child or dog ran out into the road ahead of Mr Martin, how long would it take for his car to come to a halt? Shame on you Mr Martin.
