WITNESSES are being sought to a collision between a police car on an emergency call and a pedestrian at Busch Corner in Isleworth.

On Saturday evening (March 30) Hounslow Police answered an emergency call and were on their way to the scene when a man stepped into the path of the vehicle.

He was was taken to hospital but was not seriously hurt and was released a couple of hours later.

An independent investigation is looking into the incident.

Chief Inspector Rob Weir, of Hounslow Police, said: "This was an unfortunate incident but luckily the pedestrian wasn't hurt badly. The police officer was driving correctly and in line with emergency training.

"We are appealing for witnesses so if anybody has any information please call Hounslow Police on the non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
