Six cars collided close to Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood this morning (1).
Police were called to White Hill after reports of three separate incidents at about 6.38am.
Among the vehicles involved were a grey BMW, red Rover and a black and silver Mitsubishi.
Police closed the road for about two and a half hours so it could be gritted.
A 39-year-old pedestrian was taken to Watford General Hospital with minor injuries.
