A PEDESTRIAN is in a critical condition following a collision in Wembley.

Police were called at 10pm on Monday February 10 to reports of a collision between a red Toyota Yaris and a pedestrian on Harrow Road, at the junction with Elton Avenue.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended.

The 23-year-old male pedestrian was taken to a west London hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

The driver stopped at the scene.

Detective Constable Charlie Pulling, from the North West Traffic Garage, said: “This collision occurred outside The Swan public house and I am eager to speak with anyone who was there that night and witnessed the collision.”

No arrests have been made.

A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: "Our staff treated one patient for a head injury and he was taken as a priority to St Mary's hospital."
