A MAN died at Dollis Hill tube station yesterday after he suffered a heart attack.

Ambulance crews were called to the scene at 3.30pm to reports of a man who had collapsed on the platform.

The passenger, who is believed to have been in his 50s, stopped breathing and despite extensive efforts by the ambulance crew to resuccitate him he died approximately 40 minutes later.

The station was fully closed from 4.20pm and reopened again shortly before 6pm, though due to the automatic signalling of the trains they did not stop at the station for another half an hour.

More information to follow as British Transport Police have yet to respond.
