Proposals for a new four form entry free school in Feltham needs just 50 more parents to sign on the dotted line in support of the opening.

Plans are in place for the St George's CE School to open in September 2016 with pupils in nursery, Year 1 and 2 and Year 7.

The proposed multi-faith school has been led by Reverend Paul Williamson of St George's Church, Castle Way, Hanworth Park.

Reverend Williamson, said: "The school is going to be wonderful for the young people of the area.

"There will be a wide catchment from Hounslow and surrounding boroughs.

"We will be taking four to 18-year-olds with 120 nursery places in a new built school with a chapel and a chaplain and the very best of facilities, equipment, and education.

"There is a very good reason that church schools are so popular - that is because there are providing the best for their pupils.

"We have a few weeks left to ask parents to sign up for a place for September 2016, and those who sign up will be offered a first choice place.

"Parents of children who are aged three and under can sign up for the Junior School, and we are very excited to offer parents our Secondary School for pupils now aged eight or nine.

With schools in the borough over subscribed, birth rates growing and more homes being built, the priest feels there's an urgent need to tackle the lack of school places in the borough.

The school will be built within a 10 minute walking distance of the church.

If the Department for Education gives the school the go ahead by mid-2015, a period of 18 months has been designated to prepare for the school opening.

The school will be sponsored by the Woodard Academies Trust who already run more than 50 schools in England.

Initial plans last year included proposals for a new two form entry primary school to open in 2015 , but demand has grown to include a secondary school as well as primary years.
