A PAIR of distraction burglars suspected of committing up to 42 offences throughout west London and the south East have been jailed.

James Nolan, 34, of no fixed address, was jailed for eight years after being found guilty of conspiracy to commit 35 distraction burglaries between July 17 and September 29 last year.

Samantha Gray, 22, of Slough, was sentenced to six years in prison after being found guilty of conspiring to commit 35 distraction burglaries between the same dates.

The pair are believed to be behind a string of crimes in Hammersmith and Fulham which included conning elderly people into believing they were charity workers to get into their homes.
