A 17-year-old male youth and a 34-year-old woman from Southall appeared at Ealing Magistrates Court last Friday (13), charged with possessing explosives and ammunition.

The pair were arrested after police swooped on an address in Mannington Crescent, Southall earlier this month.

They have been bailed to re-appear at Isleworth Crown Court on May 27.

A 19 year-old man arrested in the Greenford area on March 5 on suspicion of possessing explosives and ammunition has been bailed to return on a date in early April pending further inquires.

A 20 year-old man arrested in the Southall area on March 12 on suspicion of possessing explosives and ammunition has been bailed to return on a date in late April pending further inquires.

A spokesman for the police said there is nothing to suggest any of the arrests were connected to terrorism.
