A NEW exhibition was unveiled at a community space in Willesden Green.

Michael Lawton, 32, is a Sheffield artist and writer and has a new exhibition, Buenos Aires, at Electric House, Willesden Lane.

The exhibition is made up of paintings and is presented by Stables in Exile, the group which previously ran a gallery in the Stables Art Gallery in Dollis Hill House in Gladstone Park.

Artist Emma Bagley also has an installation at the venue and has taken over one of the former small office rooms with branches, leaves and twigs and low lighting to create an atmospheric work.

Mr Lawton said: “There are a lot of different styles to my paintings and lots of different reasons behind calling it Buenos Aires.

“It is about compulsion, as I read somewhere that there are more psychoanalysts in that city than any other.”

The exhibition will be open until Saturday, January 26, from Wednesday to Fridays at 10am to 6pm and Saturdays from noon to 6pm.
