Olympic gold medallist Christine Ohuruogu has paid a visit to pupils at a Maida Vale school.

Olympic gold medallist Christine Ohuruogu has paid a visit to pupils at a Maida Vale school.

Christine Ohuruogu, 24, who took gold in the 400m race at the Beijing Olympic Games spoke to students at St Augustine's High School, in Oxford Road, yesterday.

The event was part of the school's Black History Month celebrations, which include lessons on gospel, reggae and motown music, a historial river boat ride and Afro-Caribbean cookery.
