A NORTHWOOD girl is in the running to be named Miss Teen Great Britain 2012.

A NORTHWOOD girl is in the running to be named Miss Teen Great Britain 2012.

Fourteen-year-old Nicole Horan, of Leaf Close, had her photo taken last year at a clothes show in Birmingham and now she has been told she is a semi-finalist and could win a place at September’s glitzy final in Blackpool.

The former Holy Trinity Primary School pupil, an aspiring model who dances with Futunity dance group in Uxbridge, said: "Making it to the final would be like a dream come true.

"Fingers crossed I will be able to represent Northwood and win the Miss Teen Britain crown."

The winner of the competition will receive £1,000 along with a host of modelling opportunities.

Nicole currently attends St Joan of Arc School in Rickmansworth.
