A generous resident won an auction for a holiday to raise money for a radio station's charity appeal.

Stephen Glynn, of Northolt, bid £4,200 for the luxury trip to Jordan on Monday as part of Heart Radio's Have a Heart Appeal 2011.

The cash will help Children's Hospices UK who provide care and support for the families of seriously ill children. The music station is auctioning off a variety of holidays, gig tickets and other prizes which listeners can bid on.

Mr Glynn's trip includes seven nights bed and breakfast travelling around the Dead Sea and visiting archaelogical sites with first class flights included.
