A MAN has been jailed for a series of knifepoint robberies across west London.
Everson Joseph, 28, pleaded guilty at Harrow Crown Court on July 12 and will serve a seven year sentence.
Joseph, of Broadmead Road, Northolt, terrorised staff at three bookmakers and an off licence, threatening them with a knife as he demanded cash. He was also found guilty of robbing a minicab driver at knifepoint during a separate incident.
All five offences took place between February 23 and March 1 this year but no one was seriously injured.
Officers caught Joseph in possession of items of clothing which could be matched to CCTV footage of the suspect at some of the robberies as he boarded a bus in Kilburn Park Road on March 5.
Joseph was charged with five counts of robbery later that day.
Detective Sergeant Adam Rodger of the Flying Squad, who led the investigation, said: "Everson Joseph used violence to intimidate his victims as he carried out his spree of crimes across west London. Joseph is a violent and dangerous man and it is only by sheer luck that no one was more seriously injured as a result of his actions.
"I thank those involved for having the courage to come forward and help put Joseph behind bars and DC Ricardo Viera who worked extremely hard on this investigation."
