STAFF at an award-winning estate agency pride themselves on staying ahead of the game as well as taking a leading role in the community.
Northfields Estates, in Northfield Avenue, West Ealing, has won 24 national awards, from best marketing to best customer, and donates part of its fees from each sale and let to its chosen charity, the Log Cabin.
The firm is also involved in local schools, Party in the Park and Light up the Lane.
Managing director Richard Palfreeman, who opened the family-run business in 1988, was nominated in the Business category by Cora Corrigan, president of the Ealing Chamber of Commerce.
She said: “Richard is always involved in the community at large. He hosts and supports many community events and supports the Log Cabin.
“He is an award-winning estate agent renowned for investing in his staff, by giving them the best training.”
Richard, a 49-year-old father of two, said: “We take good ideas and develop them, we listen to our customers, such as asking them what they particularly like about their property. Then we include that in the details.
“Where required we do individual websites. We try and stay ahead of the game. I like to be innovative and I am a very good networker. We also have very good staff and look after them.”
A member of the Ealing Chamber of Commerce (and twice its president) as well as other business and networking groups, Richard believes it is vital to be a part of your community.
He said: “If you work in the community you have to give something back. It makes you feel better about yourself and helps the staff to feel involved.”
