My Hero

This can be an outstanding feat such as tackling a mugger, but can also be helping out a sick neighbour by doing the shopping or gardening. If someone is completely isolated, small selfless acts of kindness can be life-changing to someone in need.

Community Champion

This can be an individual or group who has made a major contribution to their community. This could be through their work, fund-raising for a local cause, running a self-help group or improving the environment or lives of others.

Young achiever

This can include any young person who has achieved outstanding success, against the odds, helped less able friends or family members, fund-raised for a local or national cause or just made those that know them very proud.

Business Champion

This can be any business, large or small, that provides superb service or an innovative product that helps the community, such as equipment for the disabled. It can be a boss who gets involved in the local community at events, or with fund-raising, or goes that extra mile for their customers.

Employee of the year

This can be anyone who goes that extra mile at working, helping people in their care or who has made an outstanding achievement in their field. It could also be someone who extends their work into the community such as running a self-help group or fund-raising for a particular cause.

Star of Ealing

This will be the overall winner of the Pride in our People awards, the person who has outshone the rest and really made an amazing contribution in the Ealing community.
