Time is running out to nominate Ealing's best teachers for the 2009 Teaching Awards in London.

Nominations close on March 1 for the annual award, which recognises outstanding teachers, headteachers and school governors in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Dai Jones, of Villiers High School, Southall, won the 2006 Teacher of the Year award after being nominated by his Year 11 students.

Pupils, parents and colleagues can log on to www.teachingawards.com to ensure Ealing's finest are represented. This year's awards will be televised on BBC2 in October.
