No time to throw stones

IN THE week their own leader was forced to apologise and pay back some of his own expenses, I find it incredible that Conservatives keep writing to this letters page on the subject of MPs expenses (June 19).

IN THE week their own leader was forced to apologise and pay back some of his own expenses, I find it incredible that Conservatives keep writing to this letters page on the subject of MPs expenses (June 19).

What we need now is a new approach to politics that restores faith in the system, based on grown up debates on real issues, not the tired old points-scoring that got us in this mess.

In the meantime, my advice to the Tories, Lib Dems and Labour is that people in glasshouses shouldn't throw stones.
