PHONE lines are down and computers are dead at Ealing Council following a power cut earlier this morning.

Customers have been completely unable to get through to the council's main officers at Perceval House while engineers work at getting the authority back online.

A statement on the front page of Ealing Council's website reads: "The council's Perceval House offices suffered a power cut early this morning.

"Phones and computers in the building are not working and the full council website is unavailable. Customer telephone calls are being diverted to the out of hours service. Engineers are working to fix the problems."

The cause of the power cut is unknown. More on this as we get it.
