Nine men were arrested on suspicion of drug-related offences at exotic dancer pub The Victoria in North Hyde Road in Hayes last night (May 14).

Four others, including one woman, were arrested at properties in Hayes and West Drayton last night and this morning during dawn raids. Class A and B drugs, including cocaine, were seized.

A total of 14 warrants were executed in total.

The raids were part of Operation Bear, a Hillingdon initiative to crack down on drug crime.

Hillingdon officers worked with the TSG from Paddington Green police station, the air support unit, sniffer dogs, general purpose dogs and specialist entry teams.

Chief Inspector Rob Wilson said: "Over the past few months Hillingdon police have been aware of increased drug activity in the Hayes and West Drayton areas. Today was the start of a major operation to disrupt and hold to account those responsible for dealing drugs in the community. This is part of our ongoing efforts to make Hillingdon the safest borough in London.

"Today was a huge success for local officers and the specialist units that came out to support us. This will make a real difference within the community."
