A ROLLS Royce, a double-decker bus and vintage cars and limousines could be seen cruising through Harefield on Friday last week.

All were carrying Harefield Academy students, who dazzled as they arrived at the school in Northwood Way.

The red carpet was rolled out and the teenagers showed off colourful gowns and sharp tuxedos as they sashayed into the building, many for the last time.

The night was also a poignant one for principal Lynn Gadd, who retires at the end of term.

“The Harefield prom was a night to remember,” she said.

“Parents and members of the community turned out in force to support the students, who looked just fantastic.

“Even more important was the students’ fantastic behaviour from the beginning of the evening to the end.

“We are so proud of a very special year group.”
