CHILDREN at a Harrow school made anti-bullying banners, badges and biscuits to highlight the effects of playground taunting.

The pupils at Newton Farm Nursery, Infant and Junior School dedicated a day of activities to the anti-bullying campaign, to raise awareness of the problem and ensure children know the school does not tolerate any form of bullying.

Parents were also invited to an assembly at the Ravenswood Crescent school, where children from the nursery to year six exhibited their work. It also included friendship bracelets, poems and cartoon strips about bullying.

Headteacher Rekha Bhakoo commented: “It was a wonderful week which really helped the children to understand the importance of emotional intelligence. It also taught them how to always treat each other with care, courtesy and respect.”
