A NEW Twitter profile is rallying support for the missing Dairy Crest Cows by purporting to be the missing bovines writes Goolistan Cooper.

Hanworth Herd (https://twitter.com/HanworthHerd) posted its first tweet this weekend, days after it emerged the missing cows will be returning to the top of the Dairy Crest building in Hanworth.

However, the author of Hanworth Herd account has vowed to keep active until the cows come home.

The first tweet was posted on Saturday (Sept 13) morning and read: “Is anybody out there? Can anyone hear us? Help! We are the Hanworth Herd...#DairyCrestCows”

Subsequent tweets related to news that the cows would be returning to their rooftop home but warned: “We can’t be sure until the nice DairyCrest folk re-open the gate, so we’ll be here until they do.”

The author also calls to out to Feltham and Heston MP Seema Malhotra, tweeting: “@SeemaMalhotra1 Support your local farming community! Pushing for our return should be your No 1 re-election pledge #DairyCrestCows”.

Nikki H responded to the opening tweet, commenting: “We want you back overseeing the traffic asap! Kids and adults miss u all.”

The famous cows, which have overlooked passing traffic on the A316, were removed in July, leading to thousands of people from around the world calling for their return.

Last week it was revealed planning rules insisted cows must be placed on the Dairy Crest rooftop, with the company finally agreeing to a U-turn.
