I've just read in The Feltham, Bedfont and Hounslow Chronicle that the council has planted 23 Flourishing Cherries, with plans to plant 1,000 acrtoss the borough.

Very admirable, until the weekends when they're going to get broken in half, which happens every time they plant them in the park opposite Sandbanks OAP home in Bedfont.

Unless they can have protective cages all the way to the top, I can guarentee you that not one will be in one piece come the end of summer.

Doesn't this council ever learn?

And how come nobody has complained about the complete cock-up in Feltham High Street? What once took five minutes to drive, from the Three Horseshoes in Lower Feltham, to McDonald's, can now take over half an hour with all the lights.

Great planning. Why not put up roundabouts? And as for the lights at the Sawyers Arms, coming from Ashford, you're lucky to get two or three cars through between changes.

If you have a lorry turning left into Bedfont Road that's all that gets through.
