New running path opens in Uxbridge

Runners, walkers and joggers can enjoy a new three-kilometre path in Uxbridge

Located at Hillingdon House Farm, at the back of Hillingdon Athletics Stadium, the loop is a gravel and grass off-road route, divided into one kilometre sections to provide a guide to distances covered.

The loop is part of Hillingdon Council’s Jog It Off programme, which also consists of free weekly running sessions.

Councillor Douglas Mills, cabinet member for community, commerce and regeneration, said: “Our 3-2-1 run loop offers residents a new place to exercise outdoors and makes it easy for them to measure the distance they walk or run, encouraging them to build their fitness levels. Whether you like a gentle stroll or prefer to sprint, all are welcome.”

As there is no lighting, residents are advised to use the run loop during daylight hours.
