RUISLIP Residents’ Association has elected a new chairman to take up the reins from Joan Davis.

Graham Bartram was elected at the association’s annual meeting.

Ms Davis steps down after many years of dedicated service to the RRA, but she will continue to be actively involved as a vice-president.

She is also chairman of health watchdog Community Voice.

Last year she was honoured with the Jubilee Life Long Achievement Award at the Hillingdon Volunteer Awards for her work with Community Voice over many years.

The award was presented to her by the then Hillingdon mayor, councillor Michael Markham, at Uxbridge College, in Park Road, in September last year.

Mr Bartram (pictured) has also been heavily involved in the community forums hosted by HS2 Ltd.
