A 22-year-old woman who died in a Northampton nightclub has been named as a Neasden resident.

Nabila Nanfuka, 22, died after the incident at the Lava and Ignite nightclub in Northampton Town Centre during the early hours of this morning.

It is thought she was killed by a crush caused by clubbers stampeding to exit the building.

Two other women are being treated in hospital for crush injuries and remain in a critical condition.

Nabila was at a club night called 'Wickedest Wickedest' when the tragedy occurred.

She was a student at Northampton University studying leisure and tourism.

Northampton Police said: "We are still seeking information about this incident - if you were at the event last night, or have information about it, please call Northamptonshire Police on freefone number 0800 096 0095.

"Alternatively, information can be given to Crimestoppers on an anonymous basis by ringing 0800 555 111."
