A MAN from South Ruislip is one of three accused of scamming 16,000 music lovers out of almost £3million.

Gary Agar, 43, of Victoria Road, will stand trial next January after denying a series of charges related to conning festival-goers by selling them nonexistent tickets.

The trio allegedly offered tickets via their company Good Time Entertainments for concerts in London’s Hyde Park featuring acts including Paul McCartney and Kings of Leon in 2010.

It is also claimed they scammed festival-goers into buying tickets for that year’s T in the Park festival, in Scotland, as well as both V Festivals and the Benicassim festival in Spain.

Prosecutors claim the combined loss of customers is in excess of £2.9m.

Along with Andrew Lagan, 43, of Northcliffe Street in North Ormesby, Agar is charged with three counts of conspiracy to defraud and two counts of money laundering. A third man, David Rolls, 47, of Westcott House in Poplar, is due to enter a plea on May 11.

All three appeared in the dock at Southwark Crown Court on February 10. Agar and Lagan were remanded on bail by Judge Stephen Robbins ahead of their trial which was fixed for January 7, 2013.
