A man may have died from knife wounds he received at a fight in at a house in New Malden, say murder investigators.
Police were called at 22:45hrs on Tuesday July 7 to reports of a fight at a house in Kingston Road.
In the rear garden officers found a man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken by ambulance to a south London hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3am.
A post-mortem at Kingston Mortuary on Wednesday July 8 gave cause of death as a single stab wound to the chest and enquiries are underway to identify the victim.
Police said they are keeping an open mind regarding a motive and an incident room has opened at Sutton under DI Gail Granville.
