A TEENAGER left for dead after being run over in Hillingdon has died and a murder inquiry has been launched.

A TEENAGER left for dead after being run over in Hillingdon has died and a murder inquiry has been launched.

Simmone Hedges, 19, was found in the middle of the road at The Larches, off Long Lane in Hillingdon shortly before 2am on Friday.

The Glaxo Smith Kline employee was taken to the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead in a critical condition but died from her injuries at 2am this morning (Wednesday).

Miss Hedges would have been celebrating her 20th birthday a week on Saturday.

A spokeswoman from the Metropolitan Police said her injuries were consistent with a road traffic collision and a post mortem would take place tomorrow (Thursday).

Two men have been arrested and bailed until December.

The vehicle believed to be involved has been seized as part of the investigation.
