A MAN has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in Southall.
Police were called to the Bridge Road Industrial Estate in Bridge Road at about 11.40pm last Friday.
The victim was found with a single stab wound to the chest. Paramedics and an air ambulance were called, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem examination carried out at Uxbridge Mortuary on Saturday gave the cause of death as a stab wound to his chest.
He was named as Gurmukh Singh Chahal, 42, of Langley, Slough. His next of kin have been informed.
Balraj Singh, 43, of Telford, Shropshire appeared at Ealing Magistrates' Court on Monday morning charged with murder. He also appeared at the Old Bailey on Wednesday where his case was adjourned.
Inspector Rob Bryan, chief of Southall Police said: "This was an isolated incident which resulted in a man's death.
"This is a tragic event but I want to reassure the residents of Ealing borough that the police are committed to combating and reducing violent crime in all its forms."
Detectives from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating, led by Detective Chief Inspector Howard Groves.
