PREGNANT women and new mums were invited to the grand unveiling of the revamped Body Shop store in Hounslow High Street on Saturday.

Joanna James, chair of LIFE Hounslow, which offers counselling and support for pregnancy, officially opened the doors to the brand's new Pulse Boutique shop, along with Gurdeep Bassi, store manager on March 2.

The first 100 people through the doors received a free goody bag and there were in-store pampering treats for everyone.

Joanna James, Chair of LIFE Hounslow, said: "It was fantastic. We were made to feel fully welcome by the team. Lots of people turned up and everybody that came got a makeover or massage. We deal with pregnant women and new mums and often life is hard for them and people do not think of pampering them. The Body Shop pampered them and gave them a little bit of respite, which was especially nice in the week leading up to Mother's Day."

Ms Bassi added: "We are absolutely thrilled to invite Life Hounslow, staff and those who use the service, to help us unveil our new look Pulse Boutique. We are interested in the valuable work they do with local families and our staff are keen to help out in a small way by volunteering and sharing our skills."
