A HAIR stylist had her luscious locks shaved off for Red Nose Day and was quickly followed by her mum.

Angelina Boccia braved a buzz cut on Friday last week to raise nearly £400 for Comic Relief. The 22-year-old, who works at Human Hair and Beauty, in North End Road, Fulham, gave up her most prized possession– her long dark hair.

They were donated to the Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs for children who lose their hair from cancer treatment or alopecia. Then her mother, Anna, jumped in the chair to face the buzz as well. Mrs Boccia said: “I couldn’t let her do such a thing on her own. I’m so proud of Angelina, especially because she loves her hair so much. But at least she will save a lot of money on hair products.”

Her daughter added: “My friends didn’t believe I would be able to do it because I cry even when I have my hair trimmed!”
