Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner MP Nick Hurd has become a father for the fifth time, in the same week he celebrated his 50th birthday.
Mr Hurd's wife Clare gave birth to daughter Leila on Thursday, May 17. It is the couple's first child.
The Conservative MP, who has represented the constituency in parliament since 2005 and has served as Minister for Civil Society in the coalition government since 2010, has four children from a previous marriage.
Mother and baby are said to be doing well.
