BRENTFORD and Isleworth MP Mary Macleod has called on US rapper 50 Cent to cancel his visit to Chiswick.

She said the star - who is facing charges for domestic violence - should scrap his planned visit to the head offices of QVC at Chiswick Park until he has had his day in court.

50 Cent is due in town on Sunday July 7, at 3pm and 7pm, where he will be promoting his range of headphones.

Mary Macleod said: "These charges are very serious. 50 Cent should immediately withdraw his visit to QVC until he has answered his charges. Not to do so would be an insult to people affected by domestic violence across the whole country.

"This is even more poignant in Chiswick, the site of the UK’s first domestic violence refuge."

Mary’s comments come as 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, withdrew from a visit to Argos in Birmingham. He is due to appear in Court in Los Angles on 22

QVC relocated its Head Office and Studios from Battersea to the London Borough of Hounslow last year.
