A DRIVER who seriously injured a pedestrian has been jailed for just shy of a year and a half.
Kevin Noel hit Minaben Shah, a 42-year-old woman, in Kenton Road, Kenton, at 6.45pm on September 30 last year.
Noel, 37, of Yeames Close, Drayton Green, west London, was behind the wheel of a black Mercedes Benz C Class when the collision occurred.
The victim was taken to a central London hospital for treatment and it is not known what specific injuries she suffered or to what extent she has recovered.
Noel was sentenced yesterday to 17 months' imprisonment and was disqualified from driving for four years and was ordered to undertake an extended driving test if he wishes to apply for a driving licence again.
