A motorcyclist has died following a road traffic collision in the very early hours of this morning.

Paramedics pronounced a man dead at the scene of an accident on Harlington Road West in Feltham, today (5).

Police, London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London Air Ambulance doctors attended.

A LAS spokesman said: "We were called at around 3am this morning to reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorbike on Harlington Road West.

"Sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene by the doctor."

LAS sent two ambulance crews, two responders by car, and advanced paramedic, duty officer and a medical team from the London Air Ambulance in a car.

When police officers arrived at the scene paramedics were already treating a man for extensive injuries.

A police spokesman said: "On Friday, September 5, at 3.06am police were called to Harlington Road West, Feltham following reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist.

"London Ambulance Service was already at the scene of the collision and a man was being treated for his injuries.

"He was pronounced dead at the scene."

Next of kin have been informed.

Harlington Road West was closed in both directions between Hounslow Road and Staines Road as investigation works were carried out.

Severe traffic jams were reported in the area.

A number of bus routes were on diversion.

Roads were cleared just before 8am this morning.

Police have made no arrests and enquiries continue.

This is the second accident involving a biker on Harlington Road West this week, but the incident on Wednesday (3) night was not fatal.
