A motorcyclist is in a serious condition after being struck down by a people-carrier in Acton this morning.

The 22-year-old was hit by a Volkswagon Sharon on Horn Lane, at the junction of Acacia Road, just after 10.30am.

He was taken to Charing Cross Hospital as a priority suffering multiple injuries, including a broken arm and possible broken hip but his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
