I AM A member of the public and I think that the policing in the Bedfont area is always bad and of low quality.

The other day I was on the bus and guess who I saw get on? A PCSO. I thought he was supposed to be walking the streets to make them safe, not getting on a bus and sitting, and getting paid for it.

Come on, think about it. Imagine a poor old lady is getting robbed for her handbag and the so-called PCSO is on a bus sitting down. Now, what is he going to do? Get off at the next stop?

By the time he gets back to the old lady she will be hurt and the robber will be long gone.

As they call themselves the Bedfont Safer Neighbourhood Team, it's the whole of Bedfont, not just Page Road, that they should be dealing with.

There are at least another 20 other estates and every day at least one police officer or a PCSO is on Page Road.

I think this is stalking the estate, myself, and I am a 15-year-old teenager.

The police come round the estate mocking the other teenagers about one of their friends having an ASBO and him being arrested.

One comes around in his police car and mocks the kids saying: "Where's your little mate?"

In my view this is not being a police officer, it is acting like a 12-year-old child.

All I am saying is that if the police are trying to make a more safe community they need to actually work and not stay in one place - Page Road.
