Hundreds of giant balls were released in Bedfont Lakes Country Park as more than 650 people took part in The Big Bounce on Sunday (July 27).
Children were greeted at the park by a giant green orb, which led them to the main performance area, where they enjoyed a high-flying acrobatics show. A barrel-load of balls was then unleashed for youngsters to bounce on to their hearts' content.
The day, organised by Carillion on behalf of Hounslow Council, began with music from the Dynamite Dholis and The Big Bounce cellist.
Once youngsters were all bounced out, they were able to hold, pet and feed animals ranging from hens and lambs to snakes and a tarantula in the animal tent.
They also enjoyed face-painting and arts and crafts in the libraries tent, where they were encouraged to sign up to the 2014 Summer Reading Challenge.
Hounslow's deputy mayor Bishnu Gurung, who attended the event, said: "It was wonderful to see the children playing outside and enjoying themselves with the giant balls.
"Outdoor events like The Big Bounce allow the residents of Hounslow to celebrate and enjoy their local spaces, experience new art forms and be part of high-quality events on their doorstep."
