FOUR intrepid pub regulars are preparing to trek the blistering 360 miles from Hounslow to Liverpool and back for charity.

Philip Humphreys, Paul Johnson, Jamie Jones and Steve Watkins will set off from the Moon Under Water, in Staines Road, Hounslow, on May 1 and hope to return a week later.

The quartet are hoping to raise at least £2,500 for CLIC Sargent, which helps children with leukaemia. They are already collecting at the pub and will also be rattling their tins on the streets of Birmingham and Liverpool along the way.

Philip, a 44-year-old father-of-four completed a three-day cycle ride from Hounslow to Birmingham and back last summer and is relishing the new challenge.

"We've been drinking here together for at least five years and one night we decided we wanted to do something for charity together," he said.
