A MINI cab driver was stabbed twice - once through the heart - in a disagreement with potential passengers.

The victim drove his black Volkswagen Sharan private hire vehicle to pick up a fare in Alric Avenue, Stonebridge, where three suspects, one Asian male and two black males wearing hoods got into the cab. 

A Brent Police said said: "A disagreement took place and the victim received two stab wounds, one pierced his heart."

Local police officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended and the 38-year-old mini cab driver was taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a stable but serious condition.

The incident, which happened on Friday at around 10.35pm, is being investigated by Brent Violence Crime Unit as a 'serious assault'.
